Journeys of the mind, body, and spirit through a world of constant flux and change. These superbly crafted poems celebrate the redemptive power of passion and love, whether dancing on a river or in the back seat of a car.
William “Bill” Studebaker was a poet, essayist, and teacher and the unsung Poet Laureate of Idaho. Widely published in little magazines, he taught literature at the College of Southern Idaho for many years and for Idaho State University.
He was awarded the Idaho Humanities Council's Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Humanities in 2005. On July 4, 2008, he died kayaking on the East Fork of the South Fork of the Salmon River.
His other books include River Religion (Limberlost), Travelers in an Antique Land (University of Idaho Press), Short of a Good Promise (Washington State University Press) and more.
