Hayden Carruth lives in upstate New York, where he taught for many years in the Graduate Creative Writing Program at Syracuse University.
He's the author of two dozen books of poetry, a novel, four books of criticism, and two anthologies. He's the recipient of numerous prizes, including the 1996 National Book Award for Scrambled Eggs & Whiskey and the National Book Critics Circle Award for his Collected Shorter Poems.
