A Mirror to the Safe
by Greg Keeler
"Greg Keeler is a sensible and serious poet who also happens to be laugh-out-loud funny."
"Greg Keeler has written lunatic masterpieces. He sings pretty good for such a big guy. He’s my absolute favorite practitioner of whatever the hell it is he practices in all of America."
Read a selection from A Mirror to the Safe.
This is perhaps the most sober and serious collection to date from a writer otherwise known for his humorous poems and songs. Anyone who considers his or her life safe form physical and emotional disaster should read this book.
Greg Keeler is the author of several other collections of poems, including American Falls (Confluence Press, 1987), and Epiphany at Goofy’s Gas (Clark City 1991). Keeler has written Montana "operas," and other musicals, and recorded tapes and CDs, including, most recently, Live from Nowhere (Trout Ball Productions). He teaches English at Montana State University in Bozeman.
